After Steven Avery $100K ‘Real Killer’ Reward Man Confesses To Teresa Halbach ‘Making A Murderer’

MANITOWOC, WI. (THECOUNT) — A Wisconsin prisoner has reportedly confessed to a brutal murder that’s the subject of Netflix’s “Making a Murderer” documentary, according to Newsweek.

The inmate was being interviewed by filmmakers for an upcoming documentary series called “Convicting a Murderer” (an unofficial sequel of sorts to the hit Netflix series) when he said he was responsible for the killing of Teresa Halbach, the photographer whose death was the focus of “Making a Murderer.”

Insider reported Tuesday that the suspect’s name will be withheld until law enforcement in Wisconsin has verified his confession.

Last week, the attorney of Steven Avery announced a reward of $100,000, offered by a citizen, for the arrest and conviction of the “real killer” of Teresa Halbach.

Avery was convicted in the 2005 murder of Halbach. He is now serving a life sentence for the crime.

Avery, the subject of Netflix series, “Making A Murderer, is an innocent man, according to his mom, because she says the victim, Teresa Halbach, isn’t even dead.

Avery’s mother appeared on WAAF radio in Boston and suggested Halbach may be alive in an effort to frame her son.
