OKLAHOMA CITY, OK. (THECOUNT) — An Oklahoma City police chase involving a shirtless man on a motorcycle ended badly for the suspect Friday evening after he t-boned a vehicle that was stopped in the roadway.

A NewsLiveNow helicopter showed the man traveling on a motorcycle at a high rate of speed in what appeared to be a rural area of Oklahoma City near SE 89th and Hiwassee.

The portly suspect, who appeared to conceal a large knife or some sort of metallic object underneath his belly and the gas tank of the motorcycle, sped up and down the county road while taking his hands off the handlebars and waving his arms. He repeatedly stared down the helicopter as he drove up and down the same roadway.

Police had apparently issued a no follow air only order.

A chase ended poorly for the suspect when a pickup truck seemed to deliberately stop in the roadway in what appeared to be an attempt to roadblock the suspect.

The suspect was lucky to be conscious and breathing as he laid his bike down a split second before the violent collision. He could be seen reeling in pain as he lay bloodied in the brush on the side of the road.

From the vantage point of the chopper, the suspect seemed to make direct contact with the pickup truck’s rear tire area and came to a rest after sliding a short distance on the asphalt.

Police have not yet said why the suspect was fleeing police or if anyone was cited at the scene.

His condition is unknown at this time. He was not immediately identified.
