BENTON COUNTY, MS. (THECOUNT) — A school bus has rolled over in Benton County, Mississippi, following a major single-vehicle crash on Highway 72 Tuesday morning.
Multiple injuries have been reported including children who were reportedly seriously hurt, officials told FOX13Memphis. There are at least 10 ambulances responding.
The crash occurred on Highway 72 in the area of Whippoorwill Road in Walnut.
According to the Benton County Emergency Management, they are working a school bus accident with injuries.
It is not clear how many people were hurt, however, some children were taken from the scene by helicopters, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
No other vehicle was involved. The cause of the accident has not been released.
