ST. LOUIS, MO. (THECOUNT) — Velda City, Missouri man, Anthony Liston, told police that he fatally shot two woman on Friday because he “never felt welcome,” at an apartment the women shared.

Liston, 30, was charged with two counts of murder after fatally shooting Kara Ball and Lisa Georgieff inside a St. Louis apartment located at 4108 Michigan Avenue, authorities said Friday.

According to charging documents, Liston is accused of fatally shooting Georgieff, 39, in the chest and Ball, 34, in the head and groin Thursday. He also hit a man in the face with his rifle, police said as they detailed a carjacking and shooting crime spree, according to reports.

Liston was also was charged with three counts of armed criminal action, two counts of assault, two counts of attempted robbery and one count each of tampering with a motor vehicle and property damage in St. Louis Circuit Court, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. He also was charged Friday with unlawful use of a weapon — shooting from a motor vehicle, first-degree assault and armed criminal action in St. Louis County Circuit Court, reports FOX23.

Liston reportedly drove to the apartment where Georgieff and Bell lived, kicked in the door and fatally shot them.

Police said Liston admitted to shooting Georgieff and Bell because “he had never felt welcome there.”

The investigation is ongoing.
