The man had been taken to Salem Hospital in critical condition. Two women found with gunshot wounds were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious injuries, but their conditions are unknown, according to Lynn Fire Capt. Joseph Zukas.

“We only go to Mass General for very serious injuries,” said Zukas, explaining that medics on scene made the determination that there wasn’t enough time to take the man to MGH as well, reports ItemLive.

Later that night, a potential fourth victim showed up at Salem Hospital. The man was shot and his dog was also struck with gunfire, Zukas said.

Police and fire responded to the Warren Street shooting shortly after 7 p.m.

Zukas said firefighters on scene said they were looking for a suspect wearing a hood or mask.

The incident is under investigation.
