BERRIEN COUNTY, MI. (THECOUNT) — Robert Klint and Melissa Klint of Sawyer, Michigan, Landyn Klint also of Sawyer, and Virginia resident, Kent Williamson, have been identified as the victims in a quadruple-fatal crash in nearby Buchanan, in southwestern Michigan Berrien County on Friday.

Robert Klint, 66, was operating a vehicle and had just cleared the stop sign at, N. Main at Miller Road, in Buchanan, when he collided with another vehicle who failed to observe the stop sign while traveling at a high rate of speed.

Robert Klint and his passengers, 60-year-old Melissa Klint, 22-year-old Landyn Klint and 52-year-old Williamson, were all killed in the crash.

Dub Collins, the driver of the vehicle suspected of running the red light, is reportedly a parolee from the Michigan Department of Corrections. He and another female occupant escaped the crash with non-life threatening injuries, according to reports.

Heather Collins, 39, was also inside the suspect’s vehicle at the time of the violent crash.

Dub and Heather Collins, of Buchanan, were transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries. They were last listed in stable condition at an Indiana hospital.

Once discharged from the hospital, officials will decide if Dub Collins goes into local custody for the pending charges or transferred to the Michigan state custody on a parole violation.
