OK City Man Cory Jay ID’d As Victim Killed During Police Pursuit Motorcycle Crash ‘Fell Off Bridge’

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK. (THECOUNT) — Cory Jay, of Oklahoma City, has been identified as the man killed after leading police on a chase while operating a motorcycle.

Jay, 31, died after crashing his motorcycle into a concrete barrier and falling off the bridge in northwest Oklahoma City, police officials confirmed.

According to police, officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a motorcycle over a traffic infraction in the area of Northwest 40th Street and North May Avenue, just after 5 p.m. Thursday.

Jay fled the scene and a pursuit ensued.

The chase hit speeds of over 100 mph.

Jay took the exit on Northwest Expressway, where there was a sharp turn then crashed into the concrete barrier and was ejected off the motorcycle. He then continued going falling over the barrier.

According to police, the motorcyclist fell 20 to 30 feet off the bridge. He was taken to OU Medical Center with significant injuries, reports KOCO.

Police said they searched the motorcycle and found three clear plastic baggies containing meth.

Police confirmed Friday that Jay has died from his injuries.
