DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA. (THECOUNT) — Peter Meraz has been identified as the suspect arrested in Desert Hot Springs on suspicion of carjacking, vandalism, obstructing a peace officer, and a felony parole violation, according to officials.
Meraz, 46, was featured on the Desert Hot Springs Police Department Facebook page Tuesday announcing details about his arrest.

“On 7/27/19, at 1131 hours, Officer Jimenez arrested Peter Meraz for a carjacking that occurred the previous day in the 66800 block of Pierson Boulevard. Meraz was booked and later transported to jail.”
According to the department, Meraz was arrested on Saturday in connection with a carjacking that occurred the previous day on Pierson Boulevard, reports CactusHugs.
Meraz’s body is almost completely tattooed including extensive ink covering his face.
