EAST HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA. (THECOUNT) — Anthony Whitfield has been identified as the Pennsylvania man killed in a single-vehicle crash in East Hempfield Township, PA, on Sunday.
Whitfield, 29, was operating a vehicle on Route 30 near Running Pump Road, when the fatal rollover crash occurred on Sunday.
Police say, Whitfield of Willow Street, was traveling in a vehicle on Route 30, in Lancaster County, when for unknown reasons, he crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then struck an embankment causing it to roll over multiple times.
According to police, Whitfield was the sole occupant of the vehicle, reports WGAL.
Whitfield was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The coroner determined Whitfield was travelling at a high rate of speed when he lost control and crashed.
