Active Shooter Reported At Corvallis Foster Farms Plant Thursday Morning

PORTLAND, OR. (THECOUNT) — Portland police are responding to the scene of a possible active shooter situation at Foster Farms in Corvallis, Oregon.

Both Corvallis and Benton County police are on the scene, located at, 855 NW 8th St, Corvallis, OR.

@CorvallisPD Corvallis Police are at the scene of an active threat at Foster Farms on NW 9th st. The situation is contained and no risk to the public but is still an active scene. We ask the public to please stay away from the area.

Benton County Undersheriff Greg Ridler told KOIN 6 News they’ve been contacting surrounding businesses and residences to evacuate or shelter in place. They believe a single person is involved and they believe the scene is contained.

The Benton Center is on lock out because of the police activity, Linn-Benton Community College tweeted.
