TORONTO, CAN. (THECOUNT) — Christopher Teape, of Toronto and Ahmed Mohamud, also of Toronto, have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal shooting in Mount Dennis neighborhood on Saturday. One of the victims was reportedly confined to a wheelchair.

According to investigators, Teape, 25, and Mohamud, 32, were both shot to death Saturday morning outside the apartment building located at, 55 Emmett Avenue, in Toronto, ON, in the city’s Mount Dennis neighbourhood.

Police responded to Emmett Avenue, in the are of Jane Street and Eglinton Avenue, around 1:30 a.m. Saturday on a reports of shots fired.

Upon arrival, police discovered two men outside the building suffering from apparent gunshot injuries.

One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries. The other was rushed to an area hospital but later died, also of gunshot injuries.

Officials did not specify which man was transported or which man was confined to a wheelchair.

A third man was also injured in the shooting and self transported to an area hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.

The suspect in the shooting is described as a black male standing six-feet-tall with a muscular build and short dreadlocks, reports CP24.

Anyone with possible information about this the deadly incident are asked to contact police at 911.

The shooting remains under investigation.
