COLLIER COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Winston Louis of Naples, Florida, has been identified as the victim who drown in a lake in Collier County early Tuesday Morning, according to officials.

Louis, 30, was visiting the Naples lake with a group of friends while celebrating his birthday, when the deadly incident occurred Tuesday Morning after midnight.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office say deputies were dispatched to a call of a man in the water in the area of the Briar Landings Community off Wildwood Lakes Boulevard in Naples.

Upon arrival, police located Louis’s body and recovered it from the lake.

Louis’ friends said they were hanging out when he began to act strange before he jumped into the lake, reports NBC-2.

Those friends then tried to find Louis but were unsuccessful.

First responders attempted live saving measures but it was too late, according to reports.

Louis was pronounced dead at the scene of an apparent drowning.
