NEWPORT NEWS, VA. (THECOUNT) — Kelly Michael Vance has been named as a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of beloved dentist William Trolenberg, in Newport News, Virginia, police said early Saturday.
Trolenberg, 65, was found shot to death in a parking lot outside his Newport News office just after 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to officials.
Vance, 42, was taken into custody as a suspect in the deadly shooting, according to the Newport News Police Department.
Officials say, Vance was captured on Harris Creek Road in Hampton just after 7:30 p.m. and charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, according to Newport News police.
Police did not provide a motive for the shooting, reports ABCNews.
It was not immediately clear if Vance had hired a lawyer.
