GREENSBORO, NC. (THECOUNT) — Korey Lee Fitzgerald of Greensboro, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in Thursday’s shooting outside the Walmart along East Cone Boulevard.
Fitzgerald, 39, was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound after officers responded to a reported shooting at Murphy USA at Pyramids Village Blvd. after 1:00 p.m. Thursday.
Fitzgerald was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
Police spokesman Ron Glenn said police are in the early stages of the investigation and do not yet have suspect information, reports Greensboro.
