Yovanny Jadiel Lopez Baby Cut From Chicago Teen’s Body Dies In Hospital Friday

CHICAGO, IL. (THECOUNT) — The baby cut out of the body of a Chicago teenager weeks earlier has passed away, MyFox8.

Family told the station that baby Yovanny Jadiel Lopez died Friday morning.

“It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of baby Yovanny Jadiel Lopez,” the statement reads, WGN reports. “He passed away this Friday June 14, 2019 from his severe brain injury.”

Chicago Police have identified the three people charged in death of Marlen Ochoa-Lopez, as Clarissa Figueroa and her daughter Desiree, who police said killed Marlen, and a third who they said concealed murder,” said aFox32 reporter on May 16.

“I have a lot of faith that the baby’s going to live. God is going to give me that miracle. We’re anxiously waiting to have him, to love him,” Yiovanni Lopez, 20, the husband of Marlen Ochoa-Lopez, reported the TheEpochTimes.

Marlen Ochoa-Uriostegui, the 19-year-old pregnant woman who went missing in Chicago, was lured to a home on the Southwest Side and killed along with her unborn child, according to grisly reports.

Sources say the fetus was cut out of Ochoa-Uriostegui’s body, according to Fox13News.

She was strangled to death, according to the medical examiner.

On Wednesday night, the Cook County Medical Examiner confirmed the body found in a garbage can at a home in the 4100 block of West 77th Place is that of Ochoa-Uriostegui, who went missing three weeks ago on April 23rd.

The Sun-Times reports that charges are expected to be filed against a 46-year-old woman.

A family member of the victim told FOX 32 that before Ochoa-Uriostegui was reported missing, she went to the 4100 block of West 77th Place to swap baby strollers with a woman she met in a Facebook group for pregnant mothers who claimed that she was pregnant as well.

Then, Ochoa-Uriostegui never showed up to pick up her 3-year-old son from daycare on April 23rd. Soon after, she was reported missing.

The same day Ochoa-Uriostegui was reported missing, a baby was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center with brain injuries from the 4100 block of West 77th Place, according to the Ochoa-Uriostegui family.

The family of Ochoa-Uriostegui says that DNA tests concluded the baby belongs to Ochoa-Uriostegui.

A statement from the family claims “the baby has been determined to be without any brain function and will be taken off of life support.”
