GUNLOCK, UT. (THECOUNT) — Brandon Gary Johnson has been identified as the Utah man killed after jumping off a waterfall while visiting Gunlock State Park Friday. Search crews recovered Johnson’s body from the water Saturday morning.
Johnson, 36, reportedly jumped off a waterfall and failed to resurface while swimming at Gunlock State Park on Friday afternoon, according to officials.
According to the press release, emergency crews first responded to the park after receiving reports that Johnson was jumping from the top of the waterfalls and into the water but failing to resurface, reports KSL.
According to the press release, it appears that Johnson died from the impact of the fall; but the incident is still under investigation.
