UPPER MARLBORO, MD. (THECOUNT) — Jewell Reid of Baltimore, has been identified as the pedestrian struck and killed in a Saturday night vehicle collision in Upper Marlboro.
Reid, 20, was on-foot in the area of Maryland Route 301, when he was struck by a woman operating a Chevy Tahoe Saturday night.
Based on a preliminary investigation, troopers say Reid was walking in the fast lane at approximately 11:15 p.m. when he was struck by the Chevy.
It is unclear if Reid was attempting to cross Crain Highway at the time of the collision or was walking parallel with the roadway, reports Fox5DC.
Alcohol is not considered to be a factor in the collision at this time.
The collision remains under investigation.
