SULLIVAN, ME. (THECOUNT) — Whitney Doughty has been identified as the victim in a fatal ATV crash Tuesday morning in Sullivan, Maine.
Doughty, 25, was riding “side-by-side” with another rider before 2 a.m. on Punkinville Road toward ME-1, when the all-terrain vehicle crossed the roadway and struck a tree.
A unidentified 25-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.
Doughty was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Both were wearing safety belts, according to WMTW.
The crash remains under investigation.
