WEST PARIS, ME. (THECOUNT) — Ethan Rioux-Poulios has been identified as the suspect arrested in a fatal hit-and-run collision in Woodstock Monday, authorities said.
Rioux-Poulios, 23, was taken into custody by Maine State troopers and county deputies in West Paris over the deadly Route 26 crash.
A Mercury Montego, operated by Rioux-Poulios was traveling on ME-26, when he came into contact with a Subaru vehicle.
The Subaru driver was killed in the collision.
The Mercury Montego was found a short distance from the scene, Oxford Sheriff’s Office Lt. Justin Brown said.
The Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash at 581 South Main St. at 12:40 p.m. Monday and closed a three-mile section of the major north-south highway until after 9 p.m. as they investigated the crash, reports WMTW.
