LAKEWOOD, CO. (THECOUNT) — Rogel Lazaro Aguilera-Mederos, the trucker who is accused of causing a fiery 28-vehicle crash that killed four people on Interstate 70 in Lakewood last month, posted bail Saturday.
Aguilera-Mederos, a licensed truck operator from Houston, Texas, was taken into custody after he caused a massive Interstate 70 fatal crash involving 28 vehicles.

Aguilera-Mederos, 23, sustained minor injuries during the fiery crash. He has been arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide after a lumber filled semi-truck he was operating plowed into vehicles on I-70. The collision caused a fire so intense that it melted the roadway and metal off of cars.
Authorities had to wait until daylight Friday to confirm the death toll from Thursday’s 28-vehicle pileup which stands at a grim four dead.
Six people were taken to hospitals with injuries. Their conditions are were not provided by officials.
The crash report noted there was no indication the incident was intentional and says Aguilera-Mederos has been cooperative.
He is scheduled to make his first court appearance Saturday, reports FOX8.
