DES MOINES, IA. (THECOUNT) — Collin Fleming has been identified as the body found in the Raccoon river, in Des Moines, Iowa Saturday afternoon.
Officials responded to the area of the waterway south of W Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy & SW 14th St, in Des Moines, IA, on reports of body discovered just before 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
Upon arrival, authorities located a deceased male in the river later identified as 24-year-old Fleming.
The Des Moines Fire Department water rescue team recovered the body, reports WHOTV.
Fleming had last been seen on April 16th and was reported missing on April 23rd.
There were no obvious signs of trauma to the body. The cause of Fleming’s death is being investigated.
