SAN MARCOS, TX. (THECOUNT) — Michael Brandon Hurlbut, of Dripping Springs, Texas, has been identified as the man swept away while operating a vehicle by floodwaters Friday night. He was found dead Saturday morning, according to the Hays County Sheriff’s office.
Hurlbut, 55, was reported missing out of the Dripping Springs area Friday evening during severe weather.
According to Hays County Sheriff Gary Cutler, Hurlbut was swept away in his car while driving from Highway 150, reports KXAN.
Authorities searched all night but had to suspend their search at midnight. Hurlbut was found Saturday morning a mile from Highway 150, in San Marcos, Hays County, TX.
