MORENO VALLEY, CA. (THECOUNT) — Ciara Harrison, of Riverside, CA, has been identified as the 25-year-old woman whose remains were located at the foot of Box Springs Mountain just north of Moreno Valley on Tuesday.
Harrison’s remains were said to be in a condition that suggested foul play, according to officials.
The body was found midday Tuesday in the 9000 block of Box Springs Mountain Road, near Pigeon Pass Road, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Police said a passer-by spotted the body and called 911.
Homicide detectives were summoned and opened an investigation into the cause of Harrison’s death, which appeared suspicious, reports MyValleyNews.
There was no word on how long the body may have been at the location.
