CANADA. (THECOUNT) — Stefanie Sherk, a Canadian model and actress perhaps best known for her role in Ashton Kutcher film Valentine’s Day, has passed away, announced her husband and fellow actor, Demian Bichir.

Sherk, 37, died “peacefully” of undisclosed causes at home Bichir confirmed in an emotional Instagram statement.

“Dear friends, on behalf of the Sherk and the Bichir Nájera families, it is with inconceivable pain that I announce that on April 20, 2019, our dearest Stefanie Sherk, my beloved and loving wife, passed away peacefully,” he said. “It has been the saddest and toughest time of our lives and we don’t know how much time it will take for us to overcome this pain, reports Mirror.

“Stefanie’s beautiful, angelical and talented presence will be immensely missed. We will hold Stefanie in our hearts forever.

“We thank everybody beforehand for their prayers and we respectfully ask for your understanding so we may grieve in peace and privacy in these incredibly difficult times.”

He added: “It is our sincerest hope that our beautiful Stefanie, my angel and love of my life, will rest in eternal peace.”

Sherk also appeared in films Star Power and Loco Love.

Stefanie’s cause of death is yet to be confirmed, and Bichir gave no further details about her health.

Demian and Stefanie met in 2011 and had no children together, he has a daughter Gala, born in the same year, following a brief relationship with an unknown woman.

The Mexican actor, who was nominated for an Oscar for his role in 2011 flick A Better Life and starred in Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight, featured Stefanie in his directorial debut A Tale of Circus & A Love Song.

In an Instagram post from December 2018, Demian spoke of the couple losing their dog Rudy after Stefanie rescued her as a young puppy from a pet store.
