SALISBURY, MA. (THECOUNT) — Jeffrey Wolk Jr., has been identified as the body found floating in a culvert Thursday near a trail in Salisbury, Massachusetts.
The body of Wolk, 29, was found near Old Eastern Marsh Trail & Mudnock Road, in Salisbury by a passerby at about 3 p.m., according to the Salisbury Police Department.
Wolk was positively identified by the tattoos on his body, according to police. His last known address was in Newburyport, but he also had ties to Salisbury and Amesbury, reports NECN.
Officials said the body appeared to have signs that it was in the water for an extended amount of time.
A cause of death was not provided.
Investigators do not suspect foul play but the matter remains under investigation by Salisbury police and detectives assigned to the district attorney’s office.
