PETERSBURG, VA. (THECOUNT) — Lorenza Young of Petersburg, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a fatal hit-and-run Crash In Petersburg Saturday night.
Police are asking for the public’s assistance after Young was struck and killed in an apparent hit-and-run crash in near Central Park in Petersburg Saturday night.
Young, whose age was not provided, was on-foot in the 300 block of S. Sycamore Street when he was struck and killed by a vehicle. The unknown vehicle then fled the scene.
Officials said the victim, later identified as Young, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead of multiple blunt for trauma injuries.
Police offered no vehicle, suspect description or further details in the deadly incident.
Anyone with possible information on the deadly collision should contact police immediately at 911.
The investigation is ongoing.
