INDIANAPOLIS, IN. (THECOUNT) — Ted Merkley, the Carmel Indiana man who was the subject of a Silver Alert on Friday, has been found deceased, officials said Sunday.
Merkley, 57, who was last seen on Thursday afternoon, was the subject of the subsequent Silver Alert issued early Friday morning.
The alert was canceled around 10 p.m. Friday. At that time, Carmel police confirmed Merkley had been found in Indianapolis but would not speak to his condition, reports WISHTV.
Merkley was pronounced deceased at the scene and officials are awaiting the results of testing performed by the Marion County Coroner’s Office to determine a cause of death.
No additional information was immediately provided by officials.
