SAN DIEGO, CA. (THECOUNT) — Christopher Conti, from Woodstock, Georgia, has been identified as the victim involved in a fatal Lime scooter crash while visiting San Diego California on Wednesday night.
Conti, 53, died following sustaining injuries in a scooter collision while on vacation in San Diego, police confirmed Monday.
The fatal crash occurred around 10 p.m. Wednesday B St & Tenth Ave in downtown San Diego after Conti was traveling on a rented Lime electric scooter and lost control.
Conti suffered massive blunt force trauma head injuries and was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Conti was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police said.
This is the first known Lime scooter fatality in San Diego, reports Fox5SanDiego.

I work for FOX 5 and we never referred to this being a Lime scooter. In fact, it was a Bird. There is more than one company operating here in San Diego - if you care to correct your article.
