COURTLAND, MS. (THECOUNT) — Travis Sanford, of Batesville, Mississippi, has been identified as the victim in a fatal shooting Friday morning.
Sanford, 33, was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound at 7:30 a.m. in the 400 block of Woodruff Street, Courtland, MS, on Friday morning.
Sanford was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
There were two children inside the home at the time of the fatal shooting. Their condition was not provided.
FOX13 is reporting that a man and woman were taken into custody over the deadly incident. It is unclear if anyone has been charged.
The investigation is ongoing.
