NEW MILFORD, CT. (THECOUNT) — John Murphy, of New Milford, Connecticut, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck while crossing a New Milford roadway Thursday Night.
Murphy, 60, was on-foot in the area of the WHEELS Citgo gas station located at 61 Danbury Road, when he was struck by a vehicle driven by 20-year-old New Milford resident Kevin Roman.
Murphy was located unresponsive by arriving first responders who attempted to revive him but were were unsuccessful.
He was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the collision.
Roman remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, reports CTPost.
No one was cited at the scene.
