PINE BLUFF, AR. (THECOUNT) — Iciephine Green, a female officer working with the University of Arkansas at Monticello, has been identified as the victim in a fatal a two-vehicle crash Wednesday.
Green, 45, was operating a vehicle on Highway 530 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, when for unknown reasons, a second vehicle crossed the centerline and struck her head-on.
She was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The university says Officer Green spent 12 years serving multiple law enforcement agencies including the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville Police Department, The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Police Department, and the Pine Bluff Police Department, reports KATV.
“We are deeply saddened by this loss, and I hope you will join me in keeping Officer Green’s family in our thoughts and prayers,” says Karla Hughes, professor and chancellor at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
Funeral arrangements will be announced once they are available.
The crash remains under investigation.
