MEMPHIS, TN. (THECOUNT) — Family members have identified Lamar Smith, Jr. as the young father killed following a shooting at a Memphis bowling alley Sunday night.
Smith, 25, was fatally shot after a group of men began fighting inside Winchester Bowl, located at, 3703 S Mendenhall Rd, Memphis, Tennessee after 10: p.m. Sunday, according to officials.
Investigators on the scene said three to four men were involved in a fight inside the popular night spot.
Security stepped in and broke up the fight and everyone involved was instructed to leave the business.
As the victim was exiting the establishment, a white Ford F150 drove up and fired several shots, striking him at least once.
Smith was pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
Officials provided no further suspect description.
The investigation is ongoing.
