PORTSMOUTH, VA. (THECOUNT) — Tyquan Charles, of Norfolk, VA, has been identified as the victim in a fatal early Sunday morning shooting that also left a juvenile injured.
Charles, 18, was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper body around 1:52 a.m. on Buchanan Avenue, near the South Bay apartment complex, police said.
Later, a second victim — a juvenile boy — walked into a local hospital with a gunshot wound. Police believe both incidents are related, reported 13NewsNow.
Charles was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.
The current condition of the juvenile injured was not provided.
Police are still investigating the shooting.
