BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Mallory Madison Beach, of Hampton, South Carolina, has been identified as the victim reported missing following a boat crash near Archers Creek in Beaufort county.
Beaufort County search crews combing the South Carolina coast located the body of the 19-year-old in a Beaufort County marsh on Sunday, one week after the boat she was on crashed into a bridge.
The boat was occupied by five other individuals who were injured when it crashed into an Archers Creek bridge on Sunday.
Their injuries are described as non-life threatening.
Officials say Beach is the youngest of three sisters and works at the It’s Retail Therapy boutique in Beaufort. She was a recent graduate of University of South Carolina, according to WLTX.
Beaufort County Search and Rescue are also assisting in the search.
SCDNR is the lead investigating agency in the crash.
