ATMORE, AL. (THECOUNT) — Lindsey Brooke Jensen has been identified as the victim killed in a single-vehicle crash near Atmore, Alabama early Sunday.
Jensen, 22, was killed while traveling as a passenger in a Hyundai Elantra, operated by 23-year-old Robert Earl Whatley, of New Brockton, Alabama, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway and struck a bridge piling after 3:00 a.m. on Sunday.
The crash occurred on Interstate 65 at the 70 mile marker, 10 miles west of Flomaton, reported Fox10TV.
Jensen was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force injuries suffered in the violent collision.
Whatley was injured in the crash and transported to D.W. McMillan Hospital.
Anyone with possible information on the deadly crash may contact police at 911.
The investigation is ongoing.
