“Weird Gem” PA Boy Describes Forced To Dissolve Meth Under Tongue West Chester Parents Under Arrest

WEST CHESTER, PA. (THECOUNT) — Harold and Brandy Nuse, of Honey Brook, PA, were arrested around 4:15 a.m on Christmas Eve, after allegedly leaving three small children in a vehicle while shopping in a Sadsbury Township Walmart for an extended period of time.

In a subsequent police interview, one of the children described his father, Nuse, 43, taking him to the shed and proving him with a “weird gem,” a substance consistent with the appearance of crystal meth on at least five different occasions. Nuse would then instruct the boy to place the “gem” under his tongue and allow it to dissolve.

The child also said the substance did not taste good, which is consistent with the bitter after-taste of the powerful drug. It is unclear if the child was drug tested.

Prosecutors say Nuse was initially arrested for leaving his children, ages 11, 8 and 6, in a running car with a gun while he went shopping at Walmart in Sadsbury Township on Christmas Eve.

Troopers determined that the car had been left running for more than an hour, with a 9mm pistol in plain view on the center console. The ammunition for the pistol was above the front seat visor. According to prosecutors, the boys were asleep. When the troopers woke them up, the boys stated they did not know where their parents were or when they would be coming back. Fox29

Nuse has now been charged with drug delivery, endangering the welfare of children and related offenses.

He was remanded to Chester County Prison, where his bail was set at $75,000 cash.
