LANCASTER COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office are investigating a triple-fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday morning in Lancaster County, South Carolina.
Lancaster residents, Sandra Coffey, 31, Crystal Johnson, 40, and 30-year-old Demarco Frazier, all died in the US 521 South crash Sunday around 1:30 a.m., reports heraldonline.
Details as to the cause of the crash were not immediately provided and remain under investigation, but we know that six individuals were traveling in a vehicle on US 521 near Indian Land, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway and crashed.
Three victims were pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Three others were transported to area hospitals in unknown condition.
No other details were provided as of Sunday afternoon.
The investigation is ongoing.
