HARRISON TOWNSHIP, OH. (THECOUNT) — Dyimond Wright, of Dayton, Ohio, has been identified as the teen pedestrian fatally struck while on North Main Street in Harrison Twp Tuesday night in a hit-and-run collision.
Wright, 17, was on-foot, walking with a friend down the middle of North Main Street near Carson Avenue, in Shiloh, when she was struck by a vehicle around 9:34 p.m., according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.
An unnamed 23-year-old female walking with Wright was critically injured after being struck by a separate vehicle at the same scene.
Both vehicle then fled the scene.
Police are searching for two vehicles possibly showing substantial front end damage. One of the vehicles is missing a driver side mirror that was recovered at the scene. One of the vehicles is also possibly blue in color.
Car parts usually carry unique identifiers that may later assist officials in their investigation.
Wright was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other unidentified victim was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Wright’s cause of her death has not yet been officially ruled, reports WHIO.
