DAYTON, OH. (THECOUNT) — Dion Rutledge has been identified as the victim in a single-vehicle crash early Monday Morning in Dayton, Ohio.
Rutledge, 30, was killed in a crash occurring on James H. McGee Boulevard early Monday morning. A passenger was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to whio.
Rutledge was operating a vehicle, when for unknown reasons, it crashed around 1 a.m. Monday near the Family Dollar, located at 440 N James H McGee Blvd, in Dayton, according to reports.
Both Rutledge and passenger were removed from the mangled car and taken to a local hospital,Dayton police Sgt. Chad Knedler said.
Rutledge was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the violent crash, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office,
The passenger was not identified.
Police did not release any potential factors in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing into the case of the fatal wreck.
