CHAPLIN, CT. (THECOUNT) — Rodney Abelin has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday single-vehicle crash in Chaplin, Connecticut.
Abelin, 53, was operating a vehicle Wednesday afternoon around 3 p.m. in the 100 block of Chewink Road, when for unknown reasons, exited the roadway and struck a tree.
Police have identified a man who died following a crash in Chaplin on Wednesday afternoon. The crash happened around 3 p.m. on Chewink Road. Police said a car, being driven by 53-year-old Rodney Abelin, went off the road and hit a tree. source
Abelin was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries suffered in the crash.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
