BRIDGEPORT, CT. (THECOUNT) — Clinton Howell has been identified as the unintended target of a drive-by shooting in Bridgeport, CT, Tuesday night.
Howell, 12, was killed in a shooting in the front area of a Willow Street home, in Bridgeport, Connecticut Tuesday evening.
Police say Howell was struck at least twice by gunfire around 9 p.m. while in front of home.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
It does not appear that the victim was the intended target of the shooting.
Authorities say detectives are working several leads and have made swift progress in the investigation. source
