FORSYTH COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Missing North Carolina woman, Shantika Lashae Dunlap, has been identified as the body found in a Winston-Salem dumpster on Saturday.
Dunlap, 30, was the subject of a missing person investigation initiated by family members who reported her disappearance earlier this week.
Deputies with the sheriff’s office and officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department reported discovering the victim’s remains in a dumpster in the 4800 block of Country Club Road on Saturday.
The investigation remains active and ongoing, according to press release from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
