BAY MINETTE, AL. (THECOUNT) — Krystal Rose Renee’ Hancock, has been identified as the victim shot in the head in an attempted suicide and murder in Bay Minette, Alabama, on Wednesday.

Hancock, 29, was named as the victim killed in the 49000 block of Eastwood Dr, following a domestic dispute around midnight Wednesday in Bay Minette, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, who is investigating a fatal incident as a homicide.

Investigators say a man shot and killed Hancock and tried to then kill himself.

The unidentified male was transported to an area hospital where he is expected to survive.

“On December 12, 2012 at approximately 10:45 PM Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 45000 block of Eastwood Dr. in Bay Minette, AL. 911 received a call that a female had been shot at the location. Upon arrival, Deputies located a deceased female in a bedroom and male with a gunshot wound to his facial area. The male subject was life flighted to a local hospital and is currently receiving treatment for his injuries. The deceased female has been identified as 29-year-old Krystal Rose Renee’ Hancock. Ms. Hancock lived at the residence with the male that was transported to the hospital. The case is being investigated as a murder and attempted suicide. No charges have been filed at this point. The investigation is continuing. “
