In a Tweet shared Wednesday afternoon, Councilwoman Angelique Ashby said Clark was the branch supervisor of the North Natomas Library. Ashby said Clark, “was a fierce advocate for literacy, students, art and our community. Her contributions to Natomas are many and will be missed greatly.”
Rivka Sass, the Sacramento Public Library Director said the loss of Clark is too great to put into words.
“We are devastated,” Sass said. “I don’t know what other word to use. We are devastated and we want to keep everybody safe and that’s what hurts so much,” Sass said. “There are people who consider us expendable. It doesn’t matter if we are in a grocery store, a park or a school or a library or any other place. That there’s an attitude that human life has no value. Makes me more angry than I can say.” source
Sass said Clark was an exceptional librarian who had a heart of gold. She was dedicated to her job and her community.
