ASHEBORO, NC. (THECOUNT) — Asheboro, NC, woman, Brittany Rae Ratley, has been identified as the hit-and-run driver arrested Thursday and charged in connection to a hit-and-run that left North Fayetteville pedestrian, Doyle Dean Henderson, critically injured.
Ratley, 28, was arrested and is facing charges in the injury of Henderson, 49, who was found critically injured in a ditch on the side of North Fayetteville Street, in Asheboro, Tuesday, according to a press release from Asheboro police.
Asheboro police found Henderson suffering from blunt force trauma shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday after being hit by a pickup truck, we now know, was driven by Ratley.
Henderson was transported Code 3 to an area hospital. He was last listed in critical condition.
Ratley faces charges of felony hit and run causing injury, failure to maintain lane control, reckless driving to endanger, failure to stop at a stop sign and unsafe passing of a yellow line. source
Ratley was jailed under a $15,000 unsecured bond and has court planned for Dec. 31.
