HARRISBURG, PA. (THECOUNT) — Dr. Laura Johnson Hummell, of Washington County, PA, has passed away in a hospital after being the victim of a November hit-and-run crash in Harrisburg.
Hummell, 50, died after being named as the pedestrian struck in a hit-and-run accident on S 3rd And Chestnut Street, in Harrisburg, PA, in late November.
Harrisburg Police are still searching for the driver.
The incident is now considered a case of vehicular homicide, according to police. The suspect vehicle is described as a Ford Windstar, model year 1999-2003, of unknown color, according to police, who believe the vehicle may have sustained significant damage to the driver’s side front quarter and the headlight assembly area.
Dr. Laura Johnson Hummell, 50, of Washington County, died of injuries sustained in the accident, which occurred in the area of S. 3rd & Chestnut Streets at 5:06 p.m. source
A reward of up to $2000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest in this incident.
