NASHVILLE, TN. (THECOUNT) — Dontae Drew has been identified as the victim killed in a drive-by shooting in north Nashville on Thursday night.
Drew, 18, was operating a Nissan Maxima near the intersection of Dickerson Pike and Briley Parkway, near the Home Depot, when a pickup truck approached and opened fire around 9:15 p.m., according to police.
According to officials, several shots were fired into Drew’s Nissan from the white pickup truck. At least one gunshot struck the victim.
Drew was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot wounds.
Police said 18-year-old Dontae Drew was driving the Maxima when the pickup truck began to follow them. source
Anyone with information on the deadly shooting should contact police at 911. There may be a reward for information leading to an arrest.
