Missing MS Man Cory Cowick ID’d As Body Found Behind Gulfport Dollar General

GULFPORT, MS. (THECOUNT) — Cory Cowick, of Gulfport , Mississippi, has been identified by officials Thursday as the victim found dead behind a Gulfport Dollar General Tuesday.

Cowick, 29, had previously been reported missing by family members to Gulfport Police.

Cowick’s body was discovered Tuesday afternoon behind the store located at 1400 Creosote Road, Gulfport, MS.

“Friends and family have been out looking for him, and they got information that this may have been his last location,” Gulfport Police Sgt. James Griffin previously told WLOX News Now. “They came here and were a part of locating the subject.” source

The coroner ruled the death as accidental but did not elaborate.

A cause of death was not provided.

The investigation is ongoing.
