SMYRNA, TN. (THECOUNT) — James T. Barnes has been identified as the shooter in an apparent murder-suicide inside a Smyrna, Tennessee, home Sunday.
Barnes, 43, shot and killed his wife, Tiffany Barnes, 32, before turning the gun on himself, according to Smyrna Police.
Police responded to the Wisdom Way residence on a call of shots fired stemming from a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male and female suffering from gunshot wounds on the floor of a bedroom.
Four children were located uninjured inside the home, located on Wisdom Way, in Smyrna.
All four of the Barnes’ underage children were at home at the time of the murder-suicide. Non were physically harmed and the kids are now staying with family. source
