GREENVILLE, SC. (THECOUNT) — Christopher Coleman and Isaiah Williams have been identified as the victims killed in an early Saturday house fire, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
Coleman, 51, and 9-year-old Williams died in a blaze at a home on Luke Lane in Greenville, NC Saturday morning.
Deputies said they arrived to find a home fully engulfed on Luke Lane around 3 a.m. Saturday.
The Gantt Fire Department and Greenville County EMS also responded to the scene.
Deputies say two individuals were transported to area hospitals where they were later pronounced dead as a result of smoke inhalation and carbon monoxide intoxication.
The Greenville County Coroner later identified the victims as Williams and Coleman.
A cause of the blaze was not provided by officials.
The coroner says a third individual made it out of the residence safely. Williams and Coleman were found inside by firefighters. source
The individual who escaped the home was not identified by officials.
The incident remains under investigation.
